Visual artist Catherine Kumlin Gamblin is known for her work in self-portraiture, in which daily drawings reveal her ever-changing self-perception. This collection of art and writing began as an exploratory daily exercise in creativity in late 2019. But what no one could have predicted was what followed mere months later as a ferocious storm of compounding uncertainties began to carve lines in American (and world) history, and forever mark her personal life in a way she could not have imagined: the coronavirus pandemic, family trauma, civil unrest, and an unexpected abnormal mammogram.
